Welcome to the South Dunedin Community Pop-Up! Located at 199 Hillside Road in Dunedin, New Zealand, our establishment is a point of interest that offers a range of services to the South Dunedin community. As a part of the Dunedin City Council (DCC), we are dedicated to providing support and resources to our local residents.

At the Pop-Up, we offer various community development support services to assist and empower individuals and groups within the community. Our customer service facilities are available for making enquiries, payments, and purchasing rubbish bags. Additionally, we provide library services, giving you access to a collection of approximately 2000 books, as well as the library catalogue and digital collections.

To keep the community informed, we have community noticeboards where you can find important announcements and events. We also offer free Gig wifi, ensuring that you can stay connected while visiting us. For those in need of computer and internet access, we have public computers available. Furthermore, we provide public photocopying facilities for your convenience.

Need a space for a small meeting? We have a small meeting room available for use. If you're looking for a more open meeting space, we have that too. Our facility is designed to accommodate various needs and preferences.

We are proud to host a weekly JP service, available on Tuesdays from 11.00am to 1.00pm and Thursdays from 1.00pm to 3.00pm. Additionally, we have a community 'hot desk' where local community groups can be based for a week or two at a time, allowing them to promote their activities and services.

The artistic touch of Aroha Novak can be seen throughout our facility. From the distinctive tukutuku panel design on the carpet floor tiles to the heritage wall panel and the display of works by local artists, our space is infused with creativity and cultural significance.

In the evenings and on Saturdays, our facility is jointly used by three community housie groups. This ensures that our space remains vibrant and engaged with the local community.

The South Dunedin Community Pop-Up will also serve as a focal point for gathering feedback and input on the development of the permanent South Dunedin Library and Community Complex. We value the opinions and ideas of our community members and aim to create a space that meets their needs.

While the Pop-Up facility is temporary, it will remain in place for approximately two years during the development of the permanent facility. We are committed to providing uninterrupted services and support throughout this time.
