"We parked up in our caravan for one night and had great food and bar hospitality prices good .Locals very friendly. definitely will be going back."
"Great boozer, good service. Pokies don’t pay though"
"After funeral function. Great staff, nice setting, good food. Would recommend."
"I had the pleasure of taking 4 ladies to lunch. Happy but sad because one was retiring at well over 70. She would have kept going as she did throughout the lockdown. However, her Dr said that enough was enough. It was recommended to us. The drinks orders were quickly served and pleasant. We all ordered something different. From simple roast pork, fish and chips to salmon with poached eggs and other sauces. We greatly enjoyed each other's company and once the meals arrived our company and tribute to retirement was the only reason we stayed. The polite young man who served us asked the question, " is everything to your liking?" I tried to let him go without an answer, but he was persistent. By the time we had explained what was wrong with the food. It varied from dry over cooked to the point where the gravy or sauce couldn't save it, to over greasy, and where did the salmon go. Two days before the salmon had been twice the size. This time the poached egg had it well hidden. My summation was that they needed to hire a qualified Chef and I politely told him so. Not sure if he had been told to never argue with a customer or there wasn't a qualified Chef in the kitchen. Though had there been one I feel sure they would have at least tried to defend themselves. We ate those parts that were fair and left the rest. My recommendation, if your thinking of going there. Ring 1st and ask if there is a qualified Chef in the kitchen and which meal he/she recommends. By far the worst race track food in the country that I've experienced."
"Nice atmosphere, but would not recommend for a elderly function at night as place just to big to heat up and people wearing jackets most of the night. This would definitely needed to be sorted out as this can put people off as people want to feel warm. But on the other side the food was great and could not fault."
