We take immense pride in being a local establishment, showcasing the bounty of the Hawkes Bay region and the wider East Coast, from Gisborne to the Wairarapa.

Our menu is packed with a diverse range of seafood options, so much so that we can't possibly fit it all on at once! From small snacks and bites to classic dishes like chowder, fish tacos, and fish 'n' chips, we have something to please every seafood lover. Don't miss out on our signature dishes, such as grilled fish with Kumara Miso Mash and the mouthwatering Bouillabaisse.

At Hunger Monger Seafood, we believe in following the seasons of the sea and the land, which means our menu changes regularly to ensure the freshest ingredients are used. We are strictly a seafood affair, so you won't find any meat on our menu. Our salads are always seasonal and fresh, showcasing the best produce available.

Speaking of freshness, we are committed to serving only the freshest seafood. Our fish arrives six days a week, and our selection is dictated by the weather and the local fishermen. We are fortunate to have both on our side! And if you're looking for a quick bite on the go, we offer fish 'n' chips as takeaways, conveniently located just across the road from our establishment.

Our $12 fish 'n' chips consists of a generous 120 grams of fresh fish fillet coated in your choice of tempura batter or breadcrumbs, both of which are gluten-free. It is served with a scoop of chips, lemon, and our own tartare sauce. Please note that our hot food takeaways are pick up only from the store.

While we do offer more than just fish 'n' chips, we prioritize our dine-in customers during peak times. This means there might be a longer wait between 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm. However, we assure you that the wait will be worth it, as we strive to provide an exceptional dining experience.

We absolutely love the Hawkes Bay and everything it has to offer - the delightful weather, the stunning seaside location, the breathtaking views from Te Mata Peak, and the incredible climate for growing delicious produce. We are proud to be a champion for the region and all its offerings.

You'll find us in the heart of Napier CBD, conveniently located across the road from the beach on Marine Parade, opposite the Mini Golf, and just a short walk from The Soundshell. We are now open for dine-in and takeaways from Tuesday to Saturday starting at 5 pm. For takeaway orders, please call ahead.
