In addition, starting from 7th August 2023, all Pathlab sites will be offering Lipase as a better alternative to Amylase. This change aims to enhance our testing capabilities and provide more accurate results.

We also want to inform you about the recent update regarding Urine Electrophoresis (BJP) Testing. As of 31st July 2023, BJP testing will be restricted to haematologists, and we recommend requesting serum free light chains instead when investigating for a monoclonal gammopathy.

Lastly, we would like to bring your attention to the postponed go-live date for HPV Primary testing. The new date is set for 12th September 2023, as announced by the Manatū Hauora Ministry of Health.
