Welcome to Woolston Playcentre, located in Christchurch, Portman Street. As an establishment, point of interest, and school, Woolston Playcentre offers a unique and inclusive early childhood education experience for both children and their parents/caregivers.

At Woolston Playcentre, children have the opportunity to learn and explore in a fun and safe environment. We believe in nurturing the curiosity and creativity of our tamariki (children) in a way that allows them to learn about themselves and the world around them.

Your child will have the chance to engage in a variety of activities, including exploring, creating, climbing, reading, singing, experimenting, playing music, wearing costumes, face painting, gardening, carpentry with real tools, baking and cooking, building sandcastles, swinging, sliding, dancing, spending time in nature, and getting messy. With activities changing daily, your child will always have something new and exciting to look forward to.

What sets Woolston Playcentre apart is the involvement of parents. Playcentre parents bring their unique skills, interests, and cultural backgrounds, contributing to a rich and diverse learning environment. By attending Playcentre, families come together and lifelong friendships are formed.

We welcome families with children aged 0-6 years to join us at Woolston Playcentre. Our mixed-age play allows children to engage with peers of different ages, promoting communication, sharing, and empathy towards younger peers.
