The Hamilton Farmers' Market started in March 2006 with just 15 stallholders in Hamilton. Over time, the market flourished, and some vendors decided to expand to Cambridge. This led to the creation of the Waikato Farmers' Markets, which showcase the wonderful products the Waikato region has to offer. With over 60 members and many seasonal stallholders, we are proud to provide delicious locally grown farm produce and food products.
In 2016, the Hamilton Farmers' Market found its permanent home at Claudelands. The spacious indoor and outdoor areas, ample free parking, Eftpos service, and toilet facilities make it a convenient and enjoyable shopping destination. Beyond being a place to shop, the Hamilton Farmers' Market has become a community hub where Hamiltonians come to support local growers and businesses, connect with vendors, meet friends and family, enjoy a cup of coffee, and listen to live music. It truly is a fantastic way to spend your Sunday morning.
The Cambridge Farmers' Market, on the other hand, offers a more traditional farmers' market experience in a lively atmosphere. Taking place year-round in the beautiful setting of Victoria Square, underneath the trees in the center of Cambridge since 2010, it is the go-to market for fresh, local goods brought to you by Waikato growers and businesses. This market is not just a shopping destination; it is where locals shop, friends and neighbors meet, and families come together. The unique connection between producers and consumers found at farmers' markets is cherished, with vendors and customers exchanging recipes and planting tips.
When you visit the Cambridge Farmers' Market, you can enjoy free on-road parking, access to Eftpos services, and nearby public toilets. By shopping locally at our market, you become an integral part of your community.
Come and experience the vibrant atmosphere, high-quality products, and friendly community spirit at the Cambridge Farmers Market. We look forward to seeing you at Victoria Square, corner of Victoria & Alpha Streets, Cambridge, every Saturday from 8am to midday.
