"A breath of fresh air ! We booked this accommodation very last minute as we chose to change hotels due to a poor experience with our prior one. There was a room available instantly, I spoke with Holly on the phone who was very understanding we booked and arrived within 30 minutes and were greeted with impeccable customer service by Holly and the gentlemen also in reception (name has slipped my mind). Holly walked us to our room which was just above and beyond, we arrived to the room and it was presented beautifully we stayed in the Superior Suite which was spacious and well designed. The room was thoroughly clean, a personalised note on arrival was also a really pleasant touch. The facilities overall are a 10/10 and we would highly recommend."
"A great hotel with amazing customer service. We were greeted by Holly when we checked in who was lovely. All the staff throughout were very friendly, gave great recommendations and went out of their way anytime they could assist with anything including adding more wood to the outdoor fire and placing a wool blanket there when we said we wanted to sit outside. While in the area I would highly recommend the Riverside Markets and Little High Eatery."
"Not sure how to make a review for the hotel, but currently staying here - and I must say, it’s one of the most gorgeous, warm, and quirky hotels I’ve stayed at in years. Holly has been wonderful and we will definitely stay here again!"
"Love the new menu. Tantalising Lumina lamb and scrumptious flat bread. The fish had a delicate butter sauce with micro greens. Under new ownership, now with full commercial kitchen. Loved the upmarket elegant vibe. Refreshing classic take. Extremely comfortable. Friendly staff. Penthouse ideal when travelling with non working spouse."
"We recently stayed at The Hotel Montreal in Christchurch on two different occasions. Both times we received excellent and friendly customer service which also included two complementary drinks. Both of our rooms were massive spaces and well appointed. Included was a kitchenette, double basin bathrooms, excellent shower, huge flat screen TV and a fabulous sunny balcony. The complimentary DIY laundry facilities was a real bonus. The hotel also offered us complimentary electric bikes, which we used to explore the city. Lots of cycleways to use. I would definitely recommend stopping off at the Riverside Food Market. At the hotel we played croquet and sat outside on the terrace, and had some small plates which were very good. The waiter in the dining area was excellent. If you are planning to stay in Christchurch I can't fault The Hotel Montreal it is first class."
