"I've been to the JPN Consular office here in Chch a few times and it doesn't matter who you deal with you will get the same negative attitude from every staff member. I'm unsure if they are just understaffed but they always seem to be on their lunch breaks and closed during strange business hours. Please don't make the mistake of going during hours as advised on Google as you may see a note on their door saying they have closed for their lunch break."
