Welcome to St Patrick's School in Kaiapoi, New Zealand! Established in 1926 by the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions, our school is an integrated full primary Catholic institution offering education with a special character to children from Year 1 to 8. Located at 61 Fuller Street, St Patrick's is an integral part of St Peter Chanel Parish in Waimakariri.

At St Patrick's School, we have a special focus on developing lifelong learners who are motivated, enthusiastic, and collaborative. Our school philosophy is rooted in the Mission sisters' values of caring, cooperating, and being called to others. We strive to create confident and inquiring self-managers among our students.

The St Patrick's School Board is dedicated to providing capable and caring teachers and support staff, as well as modern classrooms to enhance our learning environment. Our goal is to foster the talents, potential, and abilities of each individual student, while encouraging them to live their lives according to the values and teachings of Jesus Christ.

As a Catholic school, we believe in respecting the dignity, rights, and individuality of others, as directed by our Catholic faith. Our school values, the 3Cs - Caring, Cooperating, and Called to Others - are based on the values of the Sisters of Our Lady of the Mission: Community, Mission, and Contemplation. These core values are at the heart of everything we do.

Please note that our term dates are subject to change. Currently, Term 1 runs from Thursday, January 26th to Thursday, April 6th, with Waitangi Day on Monday, February 6th and Good Friday on Friday, April 7th. Term 2 is from Wednesday, April 26th to Friday, June 30th, with Anzac Day on Tuesday, April 25th, Queen's Birthday on Monday, June 5th, and Matariki on July 14th (during school holidays).

Term 3 starts on Monday, July 17th and ends on Friday, September 22nd. Term 4 runs from Monday, October 9th to Friday, December 15th (midday), with Labour Day on Monday, October 23rd and Show Day on Friday, November 17th. Please keep in mind that these dates are being updated weekly.
