"Went here yesterday and couldn't look around the store without being followed and talked to. There were plenty of staff and not so many customers when I went in, so it was really discriminating being brown skinned and having this experience here and being the first time there as I had said to the staff member. Would definitely recommend Hornby Peter Alexander. Although it is an outlet store, the customer service there is much better"

"Peter Alexander Riccarton has pretty s#$t customer service (18/07/2019). I walked in with my son who I was pushing in a pram. Two workers were just chatting away by one of the tables; Completely ignoring me. However one lady behind the counter did see me and greeted me from the otherside of the store. But back to the employees chatting. I was going to the back of the store where the kids section is. And as I was approaching the woman talking I said "excuse me" loud enough and politely for them to hear and the woman I was trying to get past clearly looked at me and didn't acknowledge me at all or bother moving and kept talking and didn't step aside at all. I did get past by tilting the pram slightly and squeezing through bumping a corner. To add as I was leaving the store a few minutes later, 2 older woman walked in and they got smiles and greeted politely from the RUDE woman that still stood around the table chatting away. Would have given the store a better rating for its presentation and the pretty smell when you walk in but definitely not after that experience. Customer service is a big thing when it comes to retail and this store possibly just on the day, lacked every part of customer service."
