With over 35 years of experience, Maria Sorensen is passionate about providing effective physiotherapy to help people move pain-free again. After graduating from the Otago School of Physiotherapy, she gained invaluable experience working in hospitals and physiotherapy practices in Dunedin and Christchurch. Maria's special interest lies in chronic pain management, a skill she honed at Burwood Hospital.

As a physiotherapist and holder of a Post Graduate Certificate in Acupuncture, Maria utilizes a multi-faceted approach to treatment, ensuring her patients achieve their physical best. In 2013, she relocated the practice to our modern treatment facility in Sockburn, equipped with the latest techniques and technology to cater to patients from all walks of life with various conditions.

In January 2021, we expanded our services by establishing another clinic at Yaldhurst Health Centre, a community-based health initiative. This center provides a range of healthcare services, including GP's, pharmacy, acupuncture, dentist, podiatrist, and physiotherapy.
