About the Business
Welcome to the New Zealand High Performance Cricket Centre, located in Canterbury, Lincoln. As one of the most prominent institutions in New Zealand cricket, our outdoor playing and training facilities at Lincoln University showcase our dedication to elevating achievement levels and consistency in the game.
Our three-ground complex, featuring the renowned Bert Sutcliffe Oval, has been the venue for prestigious events such as the 2000 Women's World Cup and two Under 19 World Cup finals. These high-quality facilities are unparalleled in New Zealand, setting the stage for exceptional cricketing experiences.
To maintain these top-notch grounds, New Zealand Cricket employs four full-time turf staff, who are joined by additional summer staff and trainee staff from educational institutions across the country. This collaborative effort ensures that our facilities are always in impeccable condition.
Throughout the summer, we host three national tournaments: the Women's Under-21, Men's Provincial A, and Men's Under-18. These events, along with various fixtures, bring together talented players from all over the country, fostering a vibrant and competitive cricketing environment.
Moreover, our facilities serve as the training grounds for team squads and specialist groups throughout the year. Coaches, players, and support staff engage in invaluable off-season training, up-skilling, and tour preparation, making the most of our state-of-the-art amenities.
In addition to the outdoor grounds, we also offer a six-lane indoor centre, which is utilized for winter training and during inclement weather in the summer. This indoor facility ensures that cricketing activities can continue uninterrupted, regardless of the weather conditions.
The Lincoln facilities truly represent the pinnacle of sporting excellence in New Zealand. We encourage guests to join us during the summer to witness the intense training sessions and thrilling matches that take place here. Whether you are a passionate cricket enthusiast or simply curious about the sport, you will find our facilities to be a captivating and welcoming environment.
Come and experience the New Zealand High Performance Cricket Centre at Lincoln University, where the pursuit of excellence in cricket is celebrated and nurtured.
