Welcome to House of Wonder Christchurch by Busy Bees! Located at 2 Bangor Street in Christchurch, our establishment is a unique and special place for children. At Busy Bees, we believe that every child is unique and precious, and we prioritize their education and care. Our center is housed in an iconic mansion, which we have lovingly transformed into a homely Early Learning Village. We have preserved the authentic and traditional characteristics of the building, creating a hub of love and creative passion for tamariki (children).

House of Wonder is known for its unique and innovative approach to early childhood education, which has gained recognition both nationally and internationally. By combining the latest research in neuroscience and learning philosophy, our centers provide a truly remarkable experience for our children and families.

Our center features five distinct rooms, including two infant rooms for both walkers and non-walkers, a toddler room, and two rooms for preschoolers, including a prepschool. We are committed to the wellbeing of your baby and strive to create a sense of home at our center. We communicate with you every step of the way and ensure that your baby has a safe, secure, and encouraging environment for their growth and development.

For toddlers, who are experiencing increased independence and curiosity, our educators welcome them with open arms and patience. With your input, we provide an environment that allows toddlers to explore and learn at their own pace.

The preschool years are critical in preparing your child for school and life. At House of Wonder, we offer abundant learning opportunities involving nature, literacy, numeracy, emotional development, confidence-building, social engagement, and more.

We also prioritize the nutritional needs of our children. Our in-house cook prepares freshly made meals using our Nourish menus and recipes, which are based on the New Zealand Heart Foundation Tohu Manawa Ora | Healthy Heart Award for Early Learning Centres. We believe that nourishing food fuels children to thrive physically and mentally, while also fostering a sense of togetherness during mealtimes.

In addition to meals, our teachers regularly engage children in baking activities, which help them develop food preparation skills and fine motor movements. It is a hands-on sensory experience that promotes independence and allows children to practice simple math concepts.
