Welcome to Kidsfirst Kindergartens Northcote, located on Northcote Road in Christchurch, New Zealand. Our kindergarten is nestled beside the picturesque Craighead Reserve, providing a beautiful natural setting for children to explore and learn.

When you arrive, you'll find ample parking at both entrances - on Northcote Road and at the end of La Perouse Place. Our kindergarten is proud to offer a program for children aged 2-5 years, where we focus on fostering a strong sense of belonging and caring for each other and the environment.

Inside, Kidsfirst Kindergartens Northcote creates a calm, warm, and welcoming environment with a homelike feel. We provide a wide range of carefully selected resources that encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and exploration. Our goal is to support the mana, wairua, and mauri that each child brings when they join our community.

Our spacious backyard offers plenty of room for children to explore and develop their physical skills. With movable equipment, grassy areas, trees, gardens, and specially designed equipment, children can set their own challenges and engage in active play. Our large trees provide shelter in all weather conditions, and we also have peaceful areas for calm and reflection.

We encourage whānau and community involvement, as it enriches our program by sharing skills, interests, languages, and cultures.

Our kindergarten is actively involved in the local community, helping children make connections and understand their place in the wider world. We have strong links with the local primary school, ensuring a smooth transition for your child as they move on from kindergarten.

We recommend enrolling your child for at least two full days initially, gradually increasing to five days at their own pace. This allows our teachers to get to know your child and provide consistent support for their learning.
