We believe in nurturing the kindergarten environment, showing respect for Papatuānuku (Mother Earth), and teaching our children the value of their work and their community.

Inside our kindergarten, you will find open, warm, and light-filled spaces for quiet, creative, and imaginative play. Outside, our big backyard is a haven for exploration and physical development, with established trees, gardens, a mud kitchen, and a sandpit.

At Kidsfirst Papanui, we prioritize building relationships, social competency, creativity, curiosity, risk-taking, leadership, learning, teaching, and kindness. Our experienced and motivated teaching team is dedicated to helping each child love learning and reach their personal best.

We strongly believe in whānau involvement and encourage families to share their skills, interests, languages, and cultures with us. This enriches our program and creates a sense of community.

You will often see our children wearing 'high vis vests' as we explore our surroundings and visit the local park to witness the changing seasons. We also have strong relationships with local schools, ensuring a smooth transition when the time comes.

We recommend enrolling your child for at least two full days initially, gradually increasing to five days. This allows our teachers to get to know your child and ensures consistency in supporting their learning.
