They then containerize and export them to battery smelters, in compliance with the international BASIL Agreement. This responsible approach allows us to recover approximately 98% of the old battery for recycling. The lead is re-smeltered, the plastic is chipped and re-molded, and the acid is re-used, all contributing to the creation of new batteries.
