Our interlocks are a trusted brand, made in the USA, and approved by the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) for the New Zealand interlock program. They are also used in more than 1,800 locations worldwide, giving you peace of mind in their reliability and effectiveness.

To get your interlock installed, simply provide us with your details, and we will arrange a time for installation at your nearest service center. Typically, we can have an alcohol interlock installed in your vehicle within 1-2 days.

An alcohol interlock is a breathalyzer that is wired into your car's ignition. It records every start, stop, test result, violation, and kilometers driven, which is then available as a report for authorities to view. Before starting your vehicle, you will need to provide an alcohol-free breath sample. Once you pass the test, you can start your vehicle.

While driving, your interlock will randomly call for tests that must be taken. Failure to take these tests will be considered a violation. It is important to note that each month, you need to take your vehicle back to a service center for data downloading and interlock calibration. This process takes about 15 minutes, and payment is made at the time of the service.

To ensure accurate readings, we recommend using a personal breathalyzer to test yourself before blowing into your interlock. Using the interlock device as a tool to test your alcohol level may result in a violation and potentially extend the length of time you have the interlock installed.

If you are eligible for the alcohol interlock subsidy, the cost to lease an interlock is only $149 per month. This subsidy covers the cost of your alcohol interlock license, installation, $50 per month towards the lease, removal, and your zero alcohol license at the end of the program. If you are not eligible for the subsidy, the standard pricing is $199 per month, and you will also be responsible for the initial installation and removal fees.

When getting your interlock installed, you will need to pay the installation fee and your first monthly lease to the service center. Additional fees may apply if you do not adhere to the requirements.

The interlock device is approximately the size of your hand and can be mounted on a clip on your dashboard or stored near your gear lever. It does not need to be visible to anyone outside your vehicle. The unit is only connected to the wiring under the dash and under the bonnet, and at the end of the program, the wiring is restored to its pre-installation conditions.

It is designed to monitor sobriety and immediately notify stakeholders of any missed or failed tests.
