Welcome to Mount Maunganui Playcentre, located at 51 Miro Street in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand. Our Playcentre is a fantastic establishment situated in Blake Park, offering a spacious and engaging environment for children to play and learn.

Our outdoor play area is shaded and surrounded by lush grass and trees, providing a safe and enjoyable space for children to explore. It features swings, slides, a playhouse, and a large sandpit filled with diggers, buckets, and hoses. Inside, we have a wide range of activities and equipment including family play, craft materials, puzzles, dress-ups, musical instruments, blocks, and books.

At Mount Playcentre, we offer five morning sessions from Monday to Friday. Each session is run by a different team of parents and grandparents, aligning with our belief in the Playcentre slogan "Whanau Tupu Ngatahi – families growing together". We encourage whanau, parents, grandparents, uncles, and aunties to join us and play alongside the children. When you sign up, you become a team member for one day but are welcome to attend other sessions as well.

We strongly believe in the power of play as a learning tool. That's why we have set up 16 different play areas, catering to various interests, skills, ages, and abilities. This allows children to freely explore activities that interest them and engage in self-directed play.

Every session is supervised by a trained and qualified Playcentre Supervisor, supported by a team of parents. Our centre is family-friendly, providing a social environment for both children and adults. It's a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time with your children, socialize, and enable them to learn in a unique setting. We also offer support for parents with young babies, as there are plenty of parents available to assist with older children.

In addition to our regular activities, we organize exciting field trips to the beach, bushwalks, fire stations, and other educational outings. We also host social events that allow our families to connect and engage with one another. Furthermore, we offer parent education courses and workshops within the centre, providing valuable resources for personal growth and development.

Our centre is conveniently located at the corner of Miro Street and Kawaka Street, next to the Squash Club Building. Simply drive into the car park, and you'll find our building.
