Welcome to Tauriko Playcentre, located in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, Tauranga, New Zealand. As an establishment, point of interest, and school, Tauriko Playcentre offers a unique early childhood education experience for both children and their parents/caregivers.

At Tauriko Playcentre, we believe in providing an environment where children can learn and explore in a fun and safe setting. Our dedicated team nurtures the curiosity and creativity of our tamariki (children), allowing them to discover more about themselves and the world around them.

Here, your child will have the opportunity to engage in a wide range of activities. From exploring and creating to climbing and reading, singing and experimenting, playing music and wearing costumes, our playcentre offers a diverse range of experiences. Children can even paint their own faces, tend to the garden, work with real tools in carpentry, bake and cook, build sandcastles, swing, slide, dance, spend time in nature, and get messy.

Every day brings new and exciting activities, thanks to our Playcentre parents who bring their unique skills, interests, and cultural backgrounds to enrich the learning environment. This diversity creates a vibrant and inclusive space for children to grow and develop.

We welcome families with children aged 0 to 6 years old. Our mixed age play allows children to interact with peers both older and younger, fostering communication, sharing, and empathy. At Tauriko Playcentre, families come together, forming lifelong friendships along the way.
