One of our upcoming exhibitions is "Emily Karaka: Matariki Ring of Fire," which will run from June 26th to October 20th, 2023. This art exhibition is centered around the festival of Matariki, the Matariki star cluster, and the Tūpuna Maunga of the Tāmaki Makaurau region. It also acknowledges Karaka's connection to Waikato and the Kīngitanga. This exhibition promises to be a thought-provoking and visually stunning experience.

Our Lunchtime Recital Series, running from September 6th to October 18th, 2023, showcases the talents of music students at The University of Waikato and visiting performers. Prepare to be inspired and delighted by solo and chamber instrumental works, as well as a variety of vocal repertoire.

On September 7th, 2023, we invite you to join us for the Concerto Competition Final. This evening event will feature brilliant finalists Celia Griffiths, Ashleigh Fraser, and Fergus Byett performing their complete concertos with piano accompaniment by Francis Cowan. Prepare to be mesmerized by their musicality, artistry, and sheer delight.

If you're a fan of harmony singing, don't miss our Classic Harmony event on September 9th, 2023, at 2:00 PM. Get ready for a feast of beautiful harmonies that will leave you captivated.

From September 22nd to September 24th, 2023, The Waikato Conservatorium of Music presents "Dido & Aeneas - The Splendour of Purcell." This production will feature selected Masques by Henry Purcell, promising an evening of enchantment and musical brilliance.

For a unique and exciting event, join us on September 23rd, 2023, for the NZ Amateur Pole Performance competition. This is an opportunity for amateurs to showcase their skills, win amazing prizes, and demonstrate their achievements in this wonderful sport.

Get ready to be dazzled on September 30th, 2023, at 7:00 PM, as the Waikato Dance Performance Trust presents the Sparkle Dance Extravaganza. This event promises a night of captivating performances that should not be missed.

On October 13th, 2023, at 7:30 PM, join music director Peter Walls and Opus Orchestra for "Somi Kim: Mozart and More." This concert brings together Somi's extraordinary talent with the timeless compositions of Mozart and a playful twist of Prokofiev. Prepare to be transported by the beauty of these compositions.

On October 20th, 2023, at 7:30 PM, we are thrilled to present Gráda, a highlight of the traditional Irish music scene from 2001 to 2011. This trad group is reuniting for a 9-date tour across New Zealand, and we are honored to have them perform at our theatre. Don't miss this unforgettable night of Irish music.

To wrap up our exciting lineup, join us on October 21st, 2023, at 7:00 PM, for "On Track to Kentucky" presented by the award-winning Waikato Rivertones Chorus. This evening showcase of spectacular vocal harmony will feature special guest NZ singer-songwriter, Anna Hawkins.
