"Through out the years I have heard horrible things about this school like bullying and fighting etc and well our children have been there a few years now and haven't been into trouble fighting or bullied however we have known people to be caught up in both. I mean you get these sorts of things at all schools though. The subject choices are pretty limited to other schools, however the teachers that our children have are really good and supportive. They muck in and make sure that they are a part of the kids achievements as much as their lows. We did have a tiny spot of bullying at the beginning but nothing that going straight to the parents didn't fix as the school very much so does jack about bullying to be fair. at the end of the day if you have a child that is a naughty then they're going to steer towards those sorts of kids at any school. you have a child that is more head down a$$ up and gets the schooling done and dusted then you wont have an issue. TKC tends to get all of Huntlys expulsions so there are a few bad eggs in the carton but those kids also need schooling so they have to go somewhere. Hauraki is the next sort after school in Te Kauwhata so if you are wanting your child to go there I would highly recommend getting in on the ballad as soon as you can. The intermediate is located in the college so the college goes from year 7 - year 13. Year 7 and 8s have their own separate area of the school where the seniors and older kids aren't allowed to go and vice versa along with common social grounds for all age groups. At present 2023 lunches are provided in school which ensures every ones babies of all walks of life get at least one meal a day and it also ensures the kids have a better ability to concentrate during school hours."
