Welcome to Dance to be Free, a dance studio located in Christchurch, New Zealand. At Dance to be Free, our mission is to make dance accessible to people of all ages and abilities. We take pride in our fun and easy approach to teaching Latin and ballroom dancing.

In our classes, there are no wrong steps. We actively encourage those with "two left feet" to give it a go, because we believe that with our guidance, we can turn one of those left feet into a right one! Whether you are a beginner or have some dance experience, we have classes for everyone.

We offer Latin American and Ballroom dance classes at various locations in central and east Christchurch. Additionally, we provide mobile services for rest homes, offering dance classes for older adults. Private lessons are also available throughout the city.

Our focus is on personalized attention and creating a fun and inclusive environment for everyone. We offer a range of dance activities, from traditional Latin and ballroom dance lessons for individuals, couples, and groups, to specialized classes for older adults and those with common chronic health conditions.

If you are interested in private lessons, couples lessons, or group lessons, we have options for you. You can either join one of our existing classes or gather a group of friends and start your own private group. All we require is a minimum of four regular participants.
