We strongly believe in patient education and focus on preventive dental care to protect and maintain your natural teeth. Regular dental examinations are essential for maintaining healthy gums and teeth, often accompanied by digital X-rays to aid in diagnosis. Following the examination, our experienced dentists will discuss the various treatment options available to you.
If you have damaged or decaying teeth, our effective fillings can restore their functionality. Our dentists will conduct a thorough examination, including x-rays if necessary, to determine if a filling is required. If so, decay will be removed from the tooth and the cavity filled. We offer different types of fillings and will assist you in choosing the one that best suits your needs.
In cases where a tooth requires extensive restoration, we may recommend a crown. A crown is a tooth-shaped cap that covers the entire visible portion of the tooth. The procedure involves removing weak areas and decay, taking an impression of the tooth, and sending it to the laboratory for the creation of a customized crown. During this process, a temporary crown will be placed to protect the tooth. Once the permanent crown is ready, it will be bonded into position, providing you with a durable and natural-looking solution.
For those with missing teeth, our dental bridges offer a permanent solution. Unlike dentures, bridges are anchored to natural teeth or implants, effectively filling the gap. During the procedure, adjacent teeth are prepared, impressions are made, and a temporary bridge is placed while the permanent one is being created.
Implants are an excellent option for replacing a single tooth without affecting the adjacent teeth. Made from titanium, implants integrate into the natural bone, providing a sturdy foundation for an artificial porcelain tooth. Our experienced dentists will consult with you to determine if implants are the right choice for you.
Root canal therapy is available for those experiencing toothaches or abscesses caused by diseased or dying dental pulp. This procedure involves removing the infected pulp, disinfecting the space, and sealing it with a filling. Root canal treatment typically requires 2 to 3 visits, with temporary fillings and dressings placed in between.
In certain cases, a tooth extraction may be necessary. Our skilled dentists will administer a local anesthetic to ensure a painless experience. After the tooth is removed, stitches may be required. We offer various options for replacing the extracted tooth, such as implants, dentures, or bridges, and will discuss these choices with you prior to the procedure.
At Rangiora Dental Centre, your oral health and satisfaction are our top priorities. Our dedicated team of dentists is committed to providing you with the highest quality dental care in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Schedule your appointment with us today and let us help you achieve a healthy and beautiful smile.

"Been a patient for a long time. Lovely reception and most importantly Mr Wooton is caring and kind and keeps you informed every step of the way. This man got me over a long standing fear of dentist. The yearly checkup is no longer something to be feared"
"Thank you William Wootton for making my procedure today very easy and relaxing. William has a wonderfully gentle, considerate and calming manner and I can totally recommend him. Thank you also to William's assistant, Debbie and Judith on Reception for making a visit to Rangiora Dental a very pleasant experience."
"I have been a patient of Jo Kent at Rangiora Dental Centre for a few years now and am always pleased with the efficient and friendly service. Jo is gentle and swift, while being very thorough. No one can say they like going to the dentist but this experience is not distressing at all."
"Rangiora dental centre made follow up appointments for me (without my knowledge) and used it as their excuse to not have me as a patient once I turned 18 so that they don’t have to work with work and income subsidies. Receptionist is rude and not welcoming."
"This is the worst Dental cleaning I have ever had, The cleaning was a total of 5 minutes long. They put as little time and effort they could to clean my teeth properly . The only tool they used to clean my teeth was the ultrasonic scaler, and then did a supper fast polish. They never went in with the hand scaler after to check they got everything. also skipped a whole side of my mouth. I asked for floss to get the gritty past out and they would not even give me a piece of floss. this is the first negative complaint I have ever written on google."
