Welcome to Archers Auto Springs, a renowned car repair establishment and point of interest located at 39 Tironui Road, Takanini, New Zealand. Established in 1955 by the visionary Burt Archer, Archers Auto Springs started as a humble blacksmith shop. However, in 1957, Burt made the pivotal decision to transform the business into a leaf spring manufacturing workshop. With only two staff members at the time, little did he know that Archers Auto Springs would grow to become a leading player in the industry.

By 1962, the workforce had expanded to eight dedicated individuals, and by 1982, over 23 skilled professionals were employed by the company. Initially, the furnaces were fueled by oil, while the high-temperature eye rolling forges relied on a coal and coke mixture. However, as technology advanced, both systems were later converted to run on gas, ensuring a more efficient and environmentally friendly operation.

As the years went by, Archers Auto Springs continued to expand its reach, opening shops in Rotorua, Auckland, and Hamilton. The majority of spring manufacturing work for these additional branches is carried out in the Rotorua branch and then transported to the respective operations in Hamilton and Auckland. However, urgent repairs and essential maintenance tasks are still performed in-house, guaranteeing prompt and reliable service to our valued customers.

At Archers Auto Springs, we are committed to continuous improvement and investment in our facilities. Our long-term goal is to become the premier manufacturer and supplier of not only our own branches but also other spring shops across the country. In 2001, we embarked on a new venture by manufacturing torsion and compression coil springs. This involved an in-house design and manufacturing process, including the creation of a special 8-meter long furnace, end grinders, compressing and rolling equipment. Today, Archers Auto Springs proudly designs and supplies coil springs throughout New Zealand, catering to a wide range of automotive needs.

In 2005, we further expanded our capabilities by manufacturing complete springs and replacement leaves for parabolic tapered leaf spring packs. These innovative parabolic springs, designed and supplied by Archers Auto Springs, have gained recognition throughout New Zealand for their exceptional quality and performance.
