Our team consists of qualified, registered teachers and teachers in training who are dedicated to providing the best education for your child. We believe in giving children the opportunity to make their own choices and affirming them as capable and independent learners.

Situated on the grounds of Alfriston College, our center serves the growing community in Manurewa. We are conveniently located near the Botanical Gardens, providing regular excursions for our children to enjoy.

We value your involvement in your child's journey through their preschool years and encourage you to be a part of our center. Building relationships with our families is important to us, as together we can collaboratively create valuable learning opportunities for your child.

Our center is influenced by the Pikler and Reggio theories, which embrace love, respect, and allowing children to develop at their own pace through inquiry learning. Our environment is structured to give children the freedom of choice and the opportunity to explore in an unhurried manner. Our teachers support children's inquiry learning and become co-researchers with them.

We have established strong relationships with surrounding schools to enhance positive ongoing transitions to school for all children attending our center.

Our program planning is based on Te Whariki, the New Zealand early childhood curriculum. It incorporates the cultural heritage of both partners to Te Tiriti O Waitangi. Additionally, we participate in the Enviroschools program, which supports children and young people in planning, designing, and implementing sustainability actions that are important to them and their communities. This program provides a pathway from early childhood through primary, intermediate, secondary school, and beyond.

We are proud to be a part of the Counties Manukau Kindergarten Association, which has been providing quality educational experiences and environments for children since 1952. Our 22 kindergartens and 6 ELCM centers are 100% kiwi owned and operated and are not-for-profit.

We provide healthy meals for our children, including a nutritious lunch and morning and afternoon snacks. Parents only need to provide nappies and formula/milk for babies. Additionally, your family may be entitled to child-care subsidy assistance from Work and Income NZ.
