"I purchased a queen size Sealy bed from Harvey Norman Mt Wellington (my local store) on Tuesday 11/07/23. The bed was booked to be delivered on Thursday 13/07 before 11.30am as I had a zoom meeting at 12noon. I rang Harvey Norman at 10am but the salesperson I bought the bed off was not working so I spoke to someone else who said she would contact the delivery people to see how far away they were. I rang her back at 10.45am and she said she was still waiting for the delivery people to ring her back. At 11.15am another person at the store rang back and said that the delivery people only delivered in the afternoon not the morning but I was told by the original salesperson that they did not deliver in the afternoon only in the morning. I ended up rescheduling the delivery date to today, Monday 17/07. When the bed was delivered at around 12.15pm, the 2 men who brought the bed left the mattress and base in the packaging in my room. I asked if they could assemble it for me and they said "they were not paid to assemble it, I asked if I could pay them to do it for me and they rudely said they were busy and for me to take it up with Harvey Norman" They sat in their truck blocking my driveway and my daughter who happened to come in to see me on my birthday today, had to get out of her vehicle to tell them to move. They could have used 5mins of that time to assemble my bed for me. My daughter kindly helped me to assemble the bed as she did not want me to be upset on my birthday. I am very dissatisfied with Harvey Norman's service this time. You may say it's the delivery people but to me as a customer, they represent Harvey Norman and I paid the fee to deliver my bed. It would not have taken them long to do that little service for me but they chose to sit in their truck doing nothing instead and blocking my driveway for 10-15mins. The mattress and base had dirty bits and photos are attached"

She is very helpful and understands our needs; both in terms of the items as well as the time we need to make decisions. She's definitely a 5 stars salesperson! We love our products purchased too, although we had an issue with the quality of one of the items hence the missing one star. Happy to share that issue was resolved at the end by the after-sales-service team."

"I went in around 9:30am and wanted to buy a suitable fridge. Near the fridge section I walked passed a group of staff (about 3), and they were busy chatting and ignored me. I was wondering right in front of the fridges there were another group of staff (about 3) busying chatting and ignored me. Luckily Will came to me in time and helped me to make the decision. I had a number of choices and Will had taken the time to explain the advantages of each type. Some of the shops now do not have enough staff and it’s difficult to find someone when customers have an inquiry. It is good to see Harvey Norman has sufficient staff but disappointing to see that some of them aren’t interested in serving customers. I am giving the 5 star because of Will. Hope there are some improvements in the future."
"I'm pretty disappointed with my experience with Harvey Norman. I recently purchased an appliance but ended up finding a better deal elsewhere and decided to cancel my order. When I went to ask for a refund, I was told that I couldn't get one because the card number on the receipt was different from the one I used to pay, even though my ASB banking app clearly showed that the money was taken out of my account using the correct card. I was promised that the accounts team would get back to me within a few days, but they never did, even after several weeks. When I called them to see what was going on, I found their tone to be pretty unprofessional, and they seemed to think I was trying to scam them. They even asked for a bunch of personal information that I wasn't comfortable giving them. Eventually, I contacted ASB for help, and they promptly took up the matter and put the transaction in dispute and said they would refund me. I'm grateful that they were able to assist me, but I'm disappointed that I had to go through such a hassle to get my refund. Based on my experience, I recommend checking that the card number on your Harvey Norman receipt matches your payment card. If it doesn't you should get the issue resolved on the spot. If you don’t may encounter difficulties when getting a refund, and the staff are not helpful. In this case, I suggest contacting your bank first to dispute the transaction and seek a refund"
