"Stopped in to this clinic a couple of days ago to ask if they were accepting new patients. There was a woman and a man at reception. Neither greeted me. The man just said "Yes" while the woman ignored me. I asked if they were accepting new patients. He says "No not really" so I said "Okay" and proceeded to leave. A man had entered the clinic. The man at reception asked if it was me or the man who just walked in who wanted to be registered. I said "No, me". He then said "Oh well, then no". They made me feel so insignificant to the point where I had to write this review. Steer clear of the rude staff at this clinic. (P.S I had just got off a bus that had been in an accident and wanted to check on my neck there). Not a happy local resident."
"The clinic has reached out to me regarding the below doctor and this review has been amended with admittedly corrected information from myself. It was beneath me to rate a service on Google as 1 star based on 1 bad experience, despite it being rather horrific. The rating has been increased as all in all the clinic has taken care of me well for the better part of 5 years. The original review continues as below…. Malcome missed two appointments scheduled with me in one day, neither with so much as an apology. He then spent the 40 mins side stepping the reason I was there, he asked irrelevant and outright inappropriate questions to the point I felt both emotionally and physically violated. He even tried to give me business advice at one stage and it became rather obvious why he was missing appointments and running behind on his schedule. After leaving the clinic in a rage of fury I ended up in an emergency department, I have since reached out to the clinic however Malcome has not even bothered to contact me. The clinic enjoys a 3.6 star rating on here, I've seen outback petrol stations with higher ratings than this. Something MUST be done about this place and it starts with a reporting to the ADHB. PLEASE be wary of signing up to this clinic, for the sake of your health."
"The Penrose Clinic was accommodating as they made my appointment on short notice the day of, however I was not prepared for what was to come. I saw Dr Malcolm Lowe. He was very disrespectful as I entered his office. He did not greet me, make any eye contact, or introduce himself and proceeded to mumble for a bit which made me quite uncomfortable. With regards to my health complaint, Dr Lowe continually downplayed/disregarded the chronic pain that I have suffered for years. He outright refused to refer me to the specialist who could help me with my complaint. He proceeded by printing off multiple prescriptions that I did not want and insisted that I use them. Throughout the appointment he also asked me lots of off topic questions that made me uncomfortable as well as disrespecting the profession that I work in (after learning what it was). His overall medical knowledge also seems to be lacking and outdated as he made some very basic mistakes while trying to inform me on best care and management. I would not recommend this doctor - a very unhelpful and discouraging encounter..."
"I have been a patient of the Penrose Clinic for the last 30 years. I first met Thye when he was the Doctor for Watercare Services. I have remained with Thye because he is a Doctor like no other. He respects his patients and you are able to sit and talk and discuss things with him for literally as long as you like. He also knows what he is doing {pretty important I reckon!} He goes out of his way to assist even if it is the weekend. I have had him ring me up on Sundays to discuss results of blood tests. Recently when I was struggling with a bad back and groin he had no hesitation on a Saturday to faxing a prescription to my Chemist for pain killers. If you want a Doctor who really cares Thye Leow is the man. Alan McGuigan"
"Dr Leow is one of best doctors I have ever met. I have known him about 20 years. He is very professional, patient and friendly. I highly recommend him to everyone. ^_^"
