A year later, I took them out of the box and started to wear the second pair only to discover I had been given two different size shoes! Obviously this was the retail assistant's error when she boxed them up and even with proof of purchase, they were most unhelpful. They would not accept responsibility. Yes, time had passed but the shoes are virtually new and unwearable. I first shopped at Caroline Sills in the 1980s - but never again."
