"Great for running and mountain biking around. However when it's wet, the rocks (that are exposed up on the top of the hills) are extremely slippery. Great views and definitely an awesome challenge. Recommend for people with a moderate level of fitness, however there are some gentle trails by the entrance of Waiu Street. The trails can take you from Wainui to Lower Hutt (via Te Whiti riser). Take your camera on a nice day, there are great views!!"
