We believe in the importance of regular cervical smear tests for all sexually active women between the ages of 25 and 69. This crucial test helps detect abnormal cells that could potentially develop into cervical cancer if left untreated. Regular tests and treatment can significantly reduce the risk of cervical cancer by around 90%. Even if you have been immunized against HPV, it is still important to undergo regular screenings. For more information about cervical smear tests, we recommend visiting the National Screening Unit website.
Immunization plays a vital role in safeguarding your health and the health of your tamariki (children). It is the safest and most effective way to protect against various diseases. To learn more about the NZ immunization schedule, please explore our website.

"Staff are always very friendly and helpful, never had any problems."
"Bad customer service. front desk lady was impatience and unprofession. kept talking to the admin lady next to her when I trying to give my mum info to get the prescription. And the admin lady even said should have kept the bloody door locked. My GP Alan chin is good. 1 star review all about the front desk"
"I have been to Avalon Medical Centre this morning to make a payment of an outstanding amount that I was notified through an email may be a month ago but for some reason I missed it . The amount my wife supposed to pay was $39. They have a policy in place that a late payment fee of $10 will be charged after a month. First of all they sent the email to me instead of sending it to my wife. Secondly when I asked her , why did you not charge her on the day so that we could avoid this late payment fee? Because we normally make payments at the counter every time we visit them. Her reply to me - People are so busy , they don’t wait and I don’t run after them to get the payment done. I worked in customer service industry for almost 12 years and I never displayed such a rudely behaviour in my entire career not even to a rude customer. You should be able calm the situation down and make them understand why it is done this way. If you can’t do it , you are a failure as a customer service representative. I request the management to provide your staff member (lady receptionist at the counter, I have seen her display such behaviour in the past too)with some sort of training in order to manage her customer with a bit more respect. Thanks Sabin Alex"
"Reply to Jason SL It is shame that you posted such a rude comment about one of the best Dr in Lower Hutt - Dr Rakesh Kaul. I have knownd Dr Rakesh for many, many years and I have never heard one bad word about him. In fact, everyone who has been his patient or worked with Dr Rakesh, knows how wanderfull he is. His professionalism and knowledge has been at the highest standard and as such valued. And for you Jason - shame on you!"
"I have been a patient of Dr Alan Chin for more than thirty years. He is extremely thorough, capable and empathetic. He takes as much time as is needed. Sometimes you wait a while but that is absolutely fine for me. It means another patient is getting exactly what they need too."
