Reviews
"Friendly staff, but outrageous price to dump old TV - $55. No wonder some people dump rubbish in the countryside."
"Terrible customer service. Dropping off good used items and was met by a rude lady, where she complained on how much I was dropping off. I'll take my items else where, no problem."
"Went there today, and was having personal conversation with my mum when I was furiously demanded not to swear by a male staff member with glasses after I was told it was going to cost $6 for 2 dvds. Not sure what this guys problem is. Definitely won’t be returning to be spat on by an old guy who thinks he can aggressively interrupt for no reason what so ever and isn’t listing items for correct prices."
"I went there today at the back section where the brick brack are picked up few tiny soaps in the containers and pack of paper napkins and told $5, I offered lower price and he skinny guy with glasses without mask with tone of sharpness and seemingly did not like Asian people said to me, NO with harsh tone and if you didn't like it put them back!!, Who he was, ordered me around like I am not a slave, really really unfriendly. I felt a strong dislike from the way he talked to me. all these front line people have to be trained, we also contributed by donating the stuff to them, nobody deserves to be treated like the way he treated me, extremely RUDE!!"
"Don’t bother. Unethical practices and sneaky dealers. Total waste of time. If you happen to find something cool here, when you take it to the counter to pay for it they will refuse to sell it to you. Instead they will take it off you and put it in their next rigged “auction”, where it will be sold cheaply to one of their mates instead of the highest bidder. On multiple occasions I have been told “oh, we must have missed that, we can’t sell it” only to see it for sale in next weeks auction. Also don’t be fooled into thinking you will get a bargain at the silent auction, as (although they won’t tell you this) all the items have a hidden reserve, so even if you do bother bidding, you won’t get the items for less than the arbitrary inflated values they secretly put on them. Frankly, the worst secondhand/junk shop in the South Island, by far. Take it off your list and don’t bother."
