Our founder, Casey, was born and raised in Whanganui and moved to Wellington to pursue her passion for psychology. Her research focused on understanding the reasons behind suicidal behavior among young people in New Zealand. With her expertise and dedication, Casey has become a registered psychologist and has been trading as Switch Psychology since January 2018.

With a wealth of experience, Casey specializes in working with children, young people, and adults who are facing challenges related to mood regulation, self-harm and suicidal behavior, substance use, harmful sexual behavior, and sexual assaults. She is committed to making a positive impact in the community and also provides services at both Arohata and Rimutaka Prisons.

At Switch Psychology NZ, we believe that the first step towards healing and recovery is establishing a strong therapeutic relationship. During your initial session, Casey will take the time to get to know you, understand your reasons for seeking therapy, and determine if she would be the right fit to support your journey towards well-being.

In addition to her qualifications and experience, Casey holds a Certificate in Gambling and Other Impulse Control Disorders, further enhancing her ability to address a wide range of psychological difficulties.
