About the Business
Welcome to the webpage of the New Zealand Police Association, located at 57 Willis Street, Wellington. As an establishment and point of interest, our institution is dedicated to enhancing the wellbeing of police officers and their families.
At the New Zealand Police Association, also known as Te Aka Hāpai, we understand the importance of prioritizing the physical and mental health of our dedicated police force. That is why we have developed the popular health and wellbeing app called Equipt.

Equipt can be easily downloaded on Police iPhones through the New Zealand Police App Store.
We believe that the wellbeing of our police officers and their families is of utmost importance. By providing tools and resources such as Equipt, we aim to support our police force in leading fulfilling and balanced lives, both on and off duty.
So, whether you are a police officer, a retired staff member, or a family member of a police officer, we encourage you to explore the New Zealand Police Association and take advantage of the resources and support we offer. Together, we can create a stronger, healthier, and happier police community.

"Why didn’t police do anything when a woman was getting attacked. People trust police when you go to a different country, why did not police use tear gas to stop the violence."
"They gave me bad advice which ended up costing me my career as a police officer. I don't recommend you join the Police Association. Save your money and seek independent legal advice if and when you need it. The Police Association are bias toward NZ Police and did not support me appropriately. They were more than happy to take my money each week though. A toothless union. Apart from my own poor experience with the Police Association I've also been told by another Constable that after he approached them in confidence regarding a sensitive workplace issue, that the confidential information he'd passed on to the Association somehow made it back to one of his bully-boy Inspectors and then working life was made difficult for him."
"Very supportive during my time of need. This is not the New Zealand Police rather their employee union."
"Awesome service!!"
