At WANROOM, we understand that small dogs require special care and attention. That's why we focus exclusively on grooming small breeds weighing up to 10kg. Unlike other salons, our size guide is tailored specifically for small dogs, ensuring that your furry friend receives the personalized treatment they deserve. To maintain a high level of service, we only accept a limited number of dogs per day.

The name "WAN" is inspired by the sound of a dog barking in Japanese. It also coincidentally sounds like "ONE," representing our commitment to being the "ONLY ONE" grooming salon for your dog. Our experienced groomer, Tomoe, has over 13 years of grooming experience and has received formal training in Japan. Having worked as a groomer in Auckland for the past 13 years, she specializes in styling small dogs, guaranteeing exceptional results.

Our pricing is based on well-maintained dogs. However, if we find fleas on your dog, we require a flea shampoo bath at an additional cost of $25. In cases where we encounter matted fur that cannot be easily removed or if your dog appears to be in pain, we will clip short or shave the fur for their comfort and safety.

Our grooming services typically take between 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on the size and condition of your dog. This includes a bath, dry and brush out, haircut, ear cleaning, nail trimming, and anal gland expression. For toy small dogs weighing under 7kg, the price is $90. This category includes breeds such as Bichon, Maltese, Shih-tzu, Toy poodle, and Miniature Schnauzer (small). Small dogs weighing between 7 to 10kg, such as Cavoodle, Miniature Poodle, and Miniature Schnauzer (large), are priced at $103. We also offer a special breed price of $95 for Japanese Spitz.

For a shorter grooming session, typically lasting between 1 to 2 hours, we offer services such as bath, dry and brush out, hygiene area cleaning, trim around the eyes (not the whole face), pad and feet trimming, ear cleaning, and nail trimming. This service is available for breeds including Bichon, Maltese, Shih-tzu, Toy poodle, and Miniature Schnauzer (small) at $75. For Cavoodle, Miniature Poodle, and Miniature Schnauzer (large), the price is $85.

If you only require a wash and dry service, we offer a 40-minute to 1-hour session, depending on the size of your dog. We also provide additional services such as nail trimming for $15, flea shampoo for $25, anal gland expression for $15, and de-matting for $20 per 10 minutes.

We kindly request that you notify us at least 3 days in advance if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Failure to do so will result in a $50 fee for rescheduling or an $80 fee for rescheduling on the appointment day. A no-show or same-day cancellation will result in us not accepting future appointments. Please understand that as a small grooming salon, our limited number of bookings and one-dog-at-a-time policy make it difficult to fill last-minute cancellations, greatly impacting our business.

If your dog has minimal matting, we may be able to brush it out for an additional fee. However, if the matting is severe and causes pain or undue stress to your pet, we will inform you and recommend shaving the fur for the animal's well-being. If permission to shave down is denied, your dog will not receive any grooming and will be returned to you as is. Please note that extreme matting situations may result in dogs licking their cuts and experiencing red, itchy, and irritated skin due to reduced oxygen flow. In such cases, we charge an extra $20 for matted dogs.

Before booking an appointment, we require your dog to have undergone regular flea and worm treatments. If we find fleas or worms during the grooming process, we will treat them at the owner's expense. Additionally, please inform us if your dog has any biting tendencies, aggression, or behavioral problems. Unfortunately, if a dog poses a risk to our groomer's safety or is unwell, we may not be able to complete the grooming. In such cases, a fee will be charged based on the work completed up to that point.

Handling dogs always carries a risk of accidents, and we prioritize your pet's safety. If necessary, we will transport your dog to a veterinarian for immediate care. We also require all dogs to be fully vaccinated, including vaccinations for Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Leptospirosis, and Kennel Cough. Owners will be held responsible if their dogs fall ill due to incomplete vaccination. Puppies should be at least 16 weeks old and have received all three vaccinations before booking.
