Our history dates back to 1880, and we have witnessed significant changes in Deaf Education in New Zealand. From a strictly oral approach that lasted for almost a century, we now recognize the viability of all languages. In 2020, a major milestone was reached when the Kelston and Van Asch Deaf Education Centres merged to become one national provider.
