Welcome to Glendene Playcentre, a unique institution located in Auckland, New Zealand. We are dedicated to empowering parents as the first teachers and creating meaningful experiences for our tamariki (children) during their early years.

At Glendene Playcentre, we believe in the power of play and self-directed learning. Our play areas are designed to stimulate creativity and imagination, with options ranging from physically active play to sand and water play, fantasy and family imaginative play, carpentry, clay, paint, playdough, collage, and messy play. The possibilities are endless!

Our spacious grounds offer ample room for children to explore, including a punga hut and exciting climbing frames that provide physical challenges. We are also fortunate to be located next to Patts Reserve, allowing us to incorporate nature into our learning experiences. And yes, we have our very own mud pit, which is always a hit with the kids!

In addition to our daily activities, we go on at least four excursions per term, visiting various places such as Butterfly Creek, the Maritime Museum, Massey Leisure Centre, West Auckland playgrounds and beaches, and even the iconic Sky Tower. These excursions provide valuable opportunities for our tamariki to learn and expand their horizons.

Our friendly and supportive community is what sets us apart. We work together to ensure our centre remains dynamic and responsive to the needs of our whanau (families). We understand the importance of supporting one another in our roles as parents and caregivers.

Glendene Playcentre is licensed for up to 30 children aged 0-6 years old. We offer general sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9.15am to 12.15pm. Additionally, if you attend two mixed age sessions per week, you are entitled to a 'drop-off session' for your child who is 2 1/2 years or older.
