At Couples Therapy Auckland, we are proud to have Rob, an experienced couple's therapist, as part of our team. Rob is not only a skilled therapist but also a valued member of the Life Unlimited Counselling & Psychotherapy Trust. With his extensive qualifications, including a Dip Tchg., TTC. B.D., PG. Dip Ed (Couns.), Cert. Supervision., MNZCCA., MNZCEFT, Rob brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his practice.

Rob has received training in various therapeutic approaches, including Strategic Couples Therapy, Imago Couples Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. In fact, he was among the first group of therapists in New Zealand to train in EFT and had the privilege of working with renowned EFT trainer, Dr. Rebecca Jorgensen. Rob has also undergone training to work with couples who have experienced trauma, demonstrating his commitment to providing comprehensive care to his clients.

In addition to his work with couples, Rob also specializes in male issues, anxiety, depression, burnout, life and career transitions. He also offers supervision for trainee counsellors, social workers, and those involved in ministry situations. With his diverse background in pastoral ministry, social work, teaching, and management, Rob brings a unique perspective to his therapy sessions.

Outside of his professional life, Rob has been happily married to his wife, Christine, for over 40 years. They have adult children and grandchildren, and he cherishes spending quality time with his family. Rob is also a competitive dinghy sailor and a past national president of the Mistral Dinghy Sailing Association. He enjoys gardening, watching movies, and actively participates in his local Anglican church.

If you are considering therapy for yourself or your relationship, Couples Therapy Auckland is here to help. Our daytime fees for sessions held at the Massey Clinic, from Monday to Friday, between 8.00am and pre-5.00pm, are as follows: $130 (GST incl.) for individuals for a one-hour session, and $170 (GST incl.) for couples for a 1.5-hour session.
