COVID-19 Alert Level 2 – Accommodation information:

During these uncertain times, we want to assure you that your safety and well-being are our top priorities. As such, we have implemented all necessary measures and protocols in accordance with the COVID-19 alert level guidelines. Our holiday parks and the Waiheke Backpackers Hostel are open for bookings, and we have reinstated our standard cancellation and amendment rules. Customers can conveniently manage their bookings online via their MyAuckland accounts.

For customers who have not started their planned stay over Alert Level 3 (28 Feb-6 Mar 2021 inclusive) and have not made any amendments or cancellations, we will provide manual refunds for the affected nights. Huia Lodge (Old Schoolhouse) offers a unique experience, as it is a converted old schoolhouse that now features six cozy bunkrooms and a large bathroom. Its prime location next to a safe beach in Huia Bay, with the stunning Waitākere Ranges as its backdrop, makes it an ideal destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Please note that there is a noise curfew of 10pm at the lodge. In the event of a security company call out, the group organizer will be held responsible for the associated costs. We kindly request all visitors to clean their footwear and equipment to prevent the spread of diseases between different areas within our parks.

Getting to Huia Lodge is easy. Simply follow Huia Road for 16.5km from Titirangi, and you will find us on the right-hand side of the road. Access instructions will be provided to you upon booking confirmation. Speaking of bookings, please keep in mind that lodges can only be booked up to 12 months in advance, with availability refreshing at midnight daily.

Our lodge is fully equipped with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay, including a fridge, freezer, large toaster, pots and pans, cooking utensils, crockery, and cutlery. However, please note that dogs, other animals, and pets are not allowed on the premises at any time.

We kindly ask all guests to maintain cleanliness and tidiness during their stay and upon departure. This is not only to ensure a pleasant environment for all visitors but also to protect against COVID-19. Please make sure to clean all utensils, crockery, and surfaces upon arrival and departure.

Huia Bay is a peaceful settlement by the Manukau Harbour and a part of the stunning Waitākere Ranges.
