Welcome to the Auckland Indian Association Inc. (AIAI), a renowned establishment located at 145 New North Road, Auckland, New Zealand. As a multifaceted institution, we proudly serve as a Hindu temple, library, place of worship, point of interest, and school.

Established in 1921, AIAI has a rich history that dates back to the early 1900s when our foundation members arrived from India, embarking on a journey by boat. Bound by their Indian heritage, these individuals formed a tight-knit community, supporting, teaching, and helping one another. Today, we continue their legacy as caretakers of our voluntary society, upholding our cultural heritage and contributing to the vibrant fabric of Auckland and New Zealand.

At the heart of our institution lies the magnificent Mahatma Gandhi Centre, where you can plan your visit and attend various events. The center offers state-of-the-art facilities and is available for hire. With a range of room sizes and halls accommodating up to 1500 people, it is the perfect venue for weddings, conferences, cultural celebrations, and community gatherings.

In addition to providing a spiritual sanctuary, AIAI is committed to serving the community. We understand the challenges faced by families affected by floods, and we are actively distributing Free Food Boxes to those impacted. For more information, please refer to the poster on our website.

We also believe in the importance of lifelong learning and personal growth. To this end, we are delighted to offer a free workshop on the Golden Years of Old Age: Psychology Perspective.
