She furthered her studies at James Cook University in Queensland, specializing in Advanced Soft Tissue Injury Management. With her vast experience, Amy previously ran her own successful business in Perth, Western New Zealand, and gained valuable expertise while working in Europe before settling in New Zealand in 2011.

Amy's dedication to continuous learning and professional development has led her to attend courses run by renowned experts such as Dr. Chris Chapparo on sensory processing and Patricia & Julia Wilbarger on Sensory defensiveness. This sparked her special interest in sensory processing difficulties for children. Amy is also trained in the Sequential Oral Sensory Approach to address issues related to fussy eaters. Additionally, she is an internationally certified infant massage instructor.

Driven by Amy's passion for both pediatric and soft tissue occupational therapy, Knots and Tangles was established to provide comprehensive care for individuals dealing with muscle knots and neurological tangles.
