Welcome to Active Explorers Greta Point, a childcare centre that your family will absolutely love. Situated in the beautiful Evans Bay Parade in Wellington, our establishment is a comfortable, cheerful, and welcoming home away from home for children under five.

With plenty of outdoor space and a wide range of inspiring and engaging activities, we provide the very best care and learning opportunities for your child.

Just ask Charlie, who loves going to Active Explorers and has formed close bonds with several of his teachers. Our staff is brilliant and takes a genuine interest in each child, getting to know their likes and dislikes. The slide and sandpit are always a hit, as are the balls, balloons, instruments, animal toys, puppets, and plethora of other fascinating things for children to explore and play with.

We are immensely grateful to our wonderful staff for their support, kindness, and patience. They ensure a smooth transition for your child and continue to be fantastic in every way. There couldn't be a better place for Charlie to be while you're at work. He is safe and loved, surrounded by a fantastic group of teachers, lovely little friends to play with, and a constantly changing selection of experiences, toys, and books to explore.

Cooper's parents were initially anxious when he started at Active Explorers at just 6 months old. However, their fears were quickly alleviated. Cooper built a strong bond with his settling teacher, who has been with him for the past 7 months. The staff listened carefully to the comforting techniques Cooper was accustomed to and treated them with respect.

Not once has Cooper been unhappy to be left in the morning. In fact, he often arrives and eagerly reaches out for a cuddle from one of our wonderful team members. His parents have no concerns about his wellbeing during the day, as they know he is happy, entertained, and surrounded by people who genuinely care about him. They highly recommend our centre to other families.

Starting from 1 April 2023, more families will be eligible for subsidy, and the hourly subsidy rates will increase. We strive to make our centre accessible and affordable for all families.

We are proud to have seen everyone come together on Saturdays to create an amazing space for our tamariki (children). The sense of community and collaboration is truly inspiring.
