"Heading back home from a trip, we decided to stop at the Ravenswood Café, by the Ampol service station, for a meal. There would have been about ½ a dozen people in the café and we were all served fairly quickly by friendly and attentive staff. I ordered a Chicken Schnitzel, salad, chips and tasty gravy. The meal was a good, basic, and honest meal, fresh salad and crispy schnitzel. The café also had the usual fare of products you would usually expect to buy to have in or take away. There is parking right at the door and plenty of it. Well done to the team. (As an observation for this review, there seems to be an identity crisis with the name of the place. i.e. Cafe245, Ampol Foodary, Del Mondo Caffe, Maximus and Ravenswood Café & Restaurant.)"
"Deserted, midday, a Sunday. I kindly informed the gentleman behind the counter that the women’s toilets had run out of paper. He said, and I quote “I know. The cleaner has been sick for 2 days. I don’t go in to the women’s toilet”. Now I know why it’s deserted!!! Zero stars"
"Terrible food, fish had been sitting in the, bain Marie for way to long. To be honest it didn't even taste like fish. Salt and vinegar strip's, couldn't even eat. They were rock hard."
"Basic cafe where you'd expect a fast food franchise. Good range, friendly service, fast and accommodating - a pleasant stop. Has highchair and children's play area. Cleaning and fly control loses a star."
"Ravenswood cafe and petrol station is a quiet peaceful place to stop at. I always stop for a cuppa and some food on the way to Bendigo. The food is precooked, but also made fresh depending on what you order. There is a large variety to choose from. The staff have always seemed friendly enough. The amenities have always been clean each time I have visited. You can either eat in or eat out. Eating out on a nice day is peaceful, and you get the feeling of being in a nice little cul-de-sac. There is a pergola to sit under and also BBQ'S if you have the family and feel inclined to cook your own food. It's tranquil to sit and look around at the rolling hill's, listening to the bird's sing whilst you're eating. It's also a great area to let your fur babies have a run if you have them with you. I personally like how easy accessible Ravenswood is and plenty of car parking. Not just for car's but heaps of room for boat's and caravans too."
