"A big thankyou to the wonderful staff who let me post my package last minute, I arrived right on close and both Sue (I think it is) and the gentleman were both friendly and courteous as they always are. They make every effort to deliver the service needed to customer's in an effective manner. Sue has helped me on so many occasions post parcels to QLD assisting me with the best options and to ensure every effort is made to organise my package in a manner that will protect the goods inside every time. The gentleman has helped my son with official documents in a handy respectful manner also which is certainly appreciated when some places lack customer service. These guys deliver. Literally."
"It's a pity that this LPO broadcasts Sky News to customers. Sky News makes no effort towards balanced political coverage. Why not screen our national broadcaster the ABC, which at least tries to be balanced and doesn't encourage its audience to negatively troll on social media."
"The Male staff member at this post office is not efficient and unprofessional in terms of people skills. He is prejudice regards favouring other clients before others. He is dismissive and unhelpful and was to me , needing to post a very important document to Canberra. There were alternatives l could have been advised on in order to do this. I like express post for a start , he basically just didn't care to be honest. I had to go to another post office to get good customer service. He needs to have more empathy toward human beings."
"Worst customer service I've ever had... I needed to lodge a passport application for my son, I had previously lodged one 4 months earlier and it got declined due to not having his father's signature, due to no contact and living in a different state. So my options were to lodge another application with his father's signature. His father lived in another state, I hunted him down, got the signature, I start work at 9 every morning and needed to submit the application before work, as soon as possible as our travel date was 6 weeks away. The original post office I had dealt with in golden square opened at 9am, so I googled post office passport applications, and strathdale showed up with an 8.30am opening time. I walked in right on 8.30 and was standing at the counter with no one in sight, eventually a man roughly in his 60's came out , I mentioned I had a passport application and he replied with "your a bit early" I said I didn't realise there were time periods for processing passports as it didn't mention that on the website and I start work at 9 and need this submitted asap... He said he would do it any way but would have to serve other people if they come in. I was more than ok with that... I then mentioned how I had to get that application all the way to NSW to get that signature and how this was my second application. He then told me I need court documents if my child's father lives in another state and told me that the photos I had of my son on the application were scratched and to old to use.. I mentioned that I had only used them 4 months ago and that I couldn't see any scratches and I was happy for him to submit the application as it was. As all they told me I need to do was get a signature from my child father, they said nothing about court documents. He slammed the application onto the bench and pushed it towards me and told me that he won't submit it with the photos I had and that if I want him to process it, I need to bring my son into the store and pay for new photos. I stood there in disbelief, grabbed my application and walked out. 2 days later I went back to the Golden square post office on the Saturday morning as soon as it opened, gave them my new application (the exact same document I took into strathdale) which they processed on the spot, mentioned nothing about needing court documents and said nothing about the photos, the passport was processed by both the post office and the passport company without any issues at all. I feel like from the moment I walked into that post office, the guy literally didn't want to do the passport and made everything harder than it should have been. There was nothing wrong with the photos I had provided, they were within the legal time frame of 6 months, there were no scratches on them at all. I will never use that post office again not recommend any one using them, especially for passport applications. Golden square post office were fantastic, accommodating and went above and beyond."
"I went in to get my 'working with children' card started. Two others, at the same time, we're doing likewise and at that point all three other staff were entering in other peoples' details for forms and other ID cards, etc. I was happy to wait. The staff managed this situation brilliantly. And were apologetic and fair to their colleagues and customers. This was a memorable experience that was handled professionally."
