"In my view, this shop is quite cliquey and unhelpful. I have often visited this shop and struggled to browse because the staff would stand in the way and not move, even when it was obvious I was trying to look at items. I visit a lot of op shops and enjoy showing people around various locations, but this particular shop is one I tend to avoid. I agree with most of the negative views expressed by others, and I also disagree with the owner's replies. Nowadays, most op shops are not cheap but offer fair prices. I would guess that the SPCA increased their prices at this location due to the poor management. I have witnessed staff members looking up prices online while I was in the store. On the other hand, I have been to many other SPCA op shops around the country that were fantastic - clean, uncluttered, well-layed out, well-priced, and friendly. My advice would be to move this shop to a larger and less cramped location and find someone knowledgeable to take charge. The current space is too small and crowded, and it would greatly benefit from proper management. Overall, it's disappointing that this particular shop doesn't meet expectations. However, I am glad to have had positive experiences at other SPCA op shops, around the country."
