At Wellington Central Early Learning Centre, we celebrate the uniqueness of every child that walks through our doors. Our aim is to create the best conditions for your child's learning, wellbeing, and care. We understand the importance of convenience for parents, which is why we offer extended hours, a pram parking zone, and Storypark - our online parent communication tool.

In addition to providing a safe and nurturing environment, we also offer healthy breakfast, lunch, and snacks made fresh every day. We believe in the power of nutritious meals to support your child's physical and mental development, and we encourage healthy eating habits from an early age.

Our qualified and experienced teachers are dedicated to caring for and nurturing your child. They build strong connections with each child and go above and beyond to ensure that every child feels supported and their unique needs are met. Our teachers create positive opportunities for your child to develop physically, mentally, and emotionally, while also guiding them through new friendships and building independence and resilience.

We believe in the importance of nature and community connection, which is why we have incorporated these elements into our curriculum. We grow our own vegetables and herbs in our garden, and we also go on local excursions to places like Te Papa, Central Park, and the Wellington City Library. These experiences help your child develop a sense of belonging and positively influence their learning journey.

At Barnardos Early Learning Centre Wellington Central, we are a not-for-profit organization, which means that everything we do goes back into supporting your child, the centre, and our community. We strive to make your child's early learning and care experience as affordable as possible.

Our team of teachers are guided by Te Whāriki - New Zealand's Early Childhood Curriculum. They work closely with your child and respond to their unique curiosities, creating an environment that reflects their individual needs. We believe that involving families and whānau in our centre and their children's learning is crucial, and we connect with you through Storypark and celebrate festivals together.

We are proud to have a nut-free centre and are happy to cater to any allergy or dietary requirements your child may have. Our commitment to providing nutritious meals extends to using the vegetables and herbs we grow in our own meals, getting the children involved in the process.

We use Storypark to record and communicate your child's learning journey through photos, videos, audio, and observations. This secure online environment allows you to receive instant feedback and plan new ways to extend your child's unique interests and abilities.
