Reviews
"Beautiful lake to walk around, picnic at and go fishing. Great spot to grab some photos (I wish id taken the proper camera on the loop walk) Be sure to wear sturdy shoes if you do the lake loop walk as there is a lot of un-even ground & in winter patches of muddy areas. Car parking was easy. Long drop toilet available."
"A really big lake with lots of space for everyone and little more secluded places if you are looking for something less social. There is some rocks you can jump off and a great big rock wall that you can walk on past the bridge. Heaps of room on the grass for picnics and beach tents, there are barbecues and picnic tables too and a toilet block. Very large car park and overflow car park, even on a holiday with a ton of people there we managed to find a few parks. Everyone in the area is friendly and dogs are welcome I’m abundance. You can bring all sorts of water toys, inflatables and canoes. There is a nice pathway walk through the forest. The water quality is a little brown and fair warning that the surface in the lake is quiet muddy (which you’d expect). Overall, a super place to take children for a day out and just generally for a peaceful place in nature to relax."
"Wonderful spot for a day out. Come for a barbe Or come for a picnic. Fancy a swim? How about paddle boarding? This place has you covered. With plenty of shade around casted by shadows from the large surrounding trees there's a spot for everyone. A grade 1 simple leisurely walk around the lake is a must do. Want more excitement? Then go to the opposite side and jump off a rock. Don't worry, you'll see the locals so you won't be in the wrong spot. This was a nice walk and certainly worth coming back. There is a composting toilet, rainfall hand wash and an overflow car park for busy summer times. Oh beware, the entry to the overflow is a little tight."
"A gorgeous place to stroll and sightsee. The lake is so beautiful and good for swimming. The circuit trail is not too intense and takes only 20-40 minutes to complete. BBQ facilities are available around here too. A family friendly location."
"Great spot for a BBQ in warmer weather. Some locals use it for kayaking and fishing too. There's a really beautiful walk you can do around the lake which is an easy family friendly stroll, highly recommend its very picturesque. Water is often a little cold but if you're brave, it's a great swimming spot!"
