"Awesome tour!! Lots of LOTR items for fans. If you don't want to spend the money for the tour, definitely still go and check out the Cave and gift shop (lots to see & free!). If you're debating going to this one or Weta Unleashed in Auckland, I would do this one but they're both very different. The one in Auckland doesn't have anything from LOTR in the tour."
"Must visit for fans. They have a lot of stuff like merchandise, art books, action figures, and property replicas (which some you can buy). Booking for a tour guide is recommended if you want to visit the Studio as well."
"Weta Cave, wow blew me out of the water. The detail that goes into creating each of the props were mesmerising. I was awestruck, from Avatar, Lord of the Rings and so many others. There were a tour available but couldnt take it this time around, I believe they take you through the whole studio in detail. Will join it next time I am in Wellington. I could have wandered for longer but we were on a quick stop on our way into town. Loved the Trolls by entrance leading to the front doors, make sure to pose for some photos with them. Gladly recommend Weta Cave to everybody."
"The trip was absolutely amazing. If you are into movie making techniques or behind the scenes type stuff this is definitely a must! The tour guide, I can't remember his name, was really helpful in making sure the tour was a memorable experience. You can't take any photos inside the tour but I didn't need to in order to cherish the experience. The attached photo is of one of the statues inside the shop/lobby. 10/10 a must do for a wellington trip!"
