Welcome to Matairangi Kindergarten, located in the beautiful city of Wellington, New Zealand. Situated on Waipapa Road, our establishment is a point of interest for parents seeking quality education and care for their children aged 18 months to three years.

At Matairangi Kindergarten, we believe in the power of free play. Our dedicated teachers create an environment that fosters curiosity, learning, and independence. We provide a wide range of activities and experiences for tamariki (children) to explore and learn through. Expect your child to get wet, sandy, and messy, as water play, sand play, and messy play are not only available but also encouraged and well-utilized!

We understand the importance of recognizing and responding to the individual and shared interests, needs, and strengths of our tamariki. Through their play and interactions with people, places, and things, we intentionally plan for their growth and development.

Care routines such as settling, nappy changing, and sleeping are seamlessly integrated into our programme, offering numerous opportunities for learning. We believe that learning is facilitated through feelings of aroha (love), safety, and belonging.
