From 17 July to 10 September, Cornwall Park becomes a haven for new life as we welcome the arrival of our adorable lambs and calves. This is an exciting time for us, but it also means that we need to take extra precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of our young animals. During this special period, some areas of the park are designated as restricted zones to protect the vulnerable new livestock. These areas, located on the eastern side of the park, are strictly NO dog areas. To make it easier for you to navigate the park, we have marked the restricted zones on our map, which you can find below. As you enter each paddock, please pay attention to the increased signage that will guide you and help maintain a safe environment for our young animals.

While dogs are not allowed in the restricted zones, on-lead dogs are more than welcome outside these areas. Cornwall Park is an on-lead park, including the sports fields along Puriri Drive. We believe in creating a harmonious environment where everyone can enjoy the beauty of nature while respecting the needs of our animals.
