"I got a Grab One voucher for a global colour, style, wash and blow dry and the service was terrible! Never in my life had I gone through what I went through with the owner of this place. Let me list what happened: Appointment: 10 am but wasn't taken till quarter to eleven because snother woman came in asking if they could have nail work done now (no appointment) which meant I was kept waiting. Hair color: She asked me what I wanted, I told her a cherry red color and she said "I think a dark brown would suit you (my hair is naturally medium brown so why would I want it darker?) And when I said no, the cherry red is fine she went and mixed up the dark brown I didn't want. During the ordeal: She washed my head with hot water not the warm water that other places use. When washing she pulled my head up by the hair not asking me to raise my head so she could wash and soap under there. Got dye everywhere, face AND clothes and didn't bother wiping it off. Left the dye in there too long that my head had started to tingle. Blow dry: Burning my head, didn't have it on a warm setting it was as if she was set to make sure this time that she burnt the top of my hesd well and truly this time. Layers: None. I did ask for them but got none. Afterwards: There were little bits of hair sticking out and while most hair dressers use product or comb them down she actually took the scissors and cut them off, I had to tell to lesve them and I would sort it out myself...TWICE! Needless to say she is the worst hairdresser I have ever had the misfortune of going to! She may do great nails and seems like a nice woman but the good REALLY are completely outweighed by the bad and no way in Hell would I ever recommend people going to her for hair cuts, she is just beyond bad and it just seemed like a rush job because of that nail job that put her behind and it was also a massive waste if money."
"Went there for my formal and the manager who was serving me was late. I booked the appointment for 10am and she arrived at 10:30, not mention the weather was very cold and my little brother (who gets sick very easily) and mum was with me. Me and my mum ignored it and carried on. I had a light rose gold dress and told the lady and we asked if she could recommend something and she said to get black and gold. We asked if we could get pink and gold instead but she insisted on black and gold and said pink and gold would not suit so we thought to trust her considering that she is the manager. Next she put me in the jacuzzi foot spa and started with my nail. I don't know if this is normal but she used the nail drill all over my nail and against my skin which kind of hurt, not to mention I only went in for standard nail polish. My nail are now very weak and I just broke so much of it right now from opening a draw, that's how weak my nail is and they are still very bumpy for the drill. Not only that she changed the design of the nail polish and when my mum questioned her on it she blamed me, saying that I said to change it. She then furiously rubbed the nail polish remover on my nail and skin which dried it out. After this she went from talking happily she quickly changed her mood to quiet and talking under her breath. While she was doing my manicure for about an hour, my feet were still in the jacuzzi. I just got a spray tan before that and my mum was questioning how long do I need to soak my feet for and the lady was giving us frustrated short answers like "just keep it in there". After a while me and my mum noticed that my spray tan was washing off and continued to ask her how long it would be and told her that we could see that my spray tan was going in that area. But, she continued to say "it's alright". My mum then went to get some food next door for her and my brother and when they left the manager said to her co-worker "go close the door, quickly" Once my mum left the lady left my foot and brought her co-worker over saying "it's once colour aye" (referring to my spray tan) and then said to me "this is one colour aye" me feeling embarrassed and awkward as there were other customers in the store, I hastily agreed just wanting this experience to be awkward. She then talked badly about my mother whilst gone, making me feel very uncomfortable. After about two hours my feet were finally out the jacuzzi and she done a quick job at painting my nails which is evident in the fact that there were some nail polish also around my skin near the nails. To make things worst is that this was my first time getting a manicure and pedicure and was one of the most uncomfortable moments in my life. Overall poor customer service, poor hygiene and would never go back or recommend."
"Do not go there for anything to do with hair! Terrible! I’m not one to put up a bad review but it’s necessary so people are aware. First the lady refused to cut it even though I had a grab one voucher for cut and colour. Told me it didn’t need it. Then she Then she got the colour EVERYWHERE! Tray, floor, Even a bit on my jeans, face. Didn’t use the tbar technique to put colour in. And it was totally freezing. I was shivering. No heater in the place in winter. It was the weirdest, messiest, hair experience I’ve ever come across. I’m sure she’s a lovely person but she shouldn’t be doing hair in any capacity sorry"
"Disappointed. Half an hour appointment took over 2 and a half hours. Another customer complained which meant my nails were left half way through and they did not have enough staff. My nail technician, Marie, was lovely and did a good job however the other technician was asked to put my top coat on, two different ones were used which changed the colours which meant they were repainted. As there were so many layers of nail polish on my nails I stayed there for 30 minutes to dry. Due to the layers of polish there is a lot of smudging and they don’t look great."
"I purchased Grabone vouchers for myself and my friend (for her birthday!) to use at this salon. We booked a week in advance for a 12.30pm Deluxe pedicure each. We then waited for 40 minutes before being shown to the pedicure chairs, I waited another 10 minutes for someone to start on my feet, my friend waited another 20 (a total of 1 hour waiting!!). By this time we had stopped enjoying ourselves and were stressed about the car getting a ticket, and the fact we would now likely be late for our booked table later that day in Upper Hutt (despite leaving ourselves plenty of time in between the two bookings). I had to remind the woman that she had only shaped the nails on one of my feet as she was in such a rush! Another woman then changed the chosen nail colour for my friend's pedicure - when my friend pointed out it was a different colour she was told "no it isn't" and ignored. During this time other customers were leaving due to the time they had to wait, and another customer was arguing with the staff about being mislead over the prices. Definitely will not be returning to this place, the overall experience was by far the worst I have experienced in a nail salon :-("
